Chapter 7 and Foreclosure Clients

  1. We should get a notice shortly that confirms your payment for your attorney fees and/or filing fees.
  2. We will obtain your case number as soon as we file your case.
  3. Then, when we give you your case number, you must take the Debtor Education Class.
  4. When you come to court please bring with you the following items:
    • Social Security Card.
    • Drivers License or Photo ID.

Chapter 13 Clients

  1. We should get a confirmation shortly that confirms your payment for your attorney fees and/or filing fees.
  2. We will obtain your case number as soon as we file your case.
  3. Then, when we give you your case number, you must take the Debtor Education Class.
  4. Remember, often Chapter 13 takes two months to get the plan confirmed, so, Chapter 13 clients often have to pay the first two months of plan payments into the plan in the Western District of Kentucky.
  5. Also, only a mortgage arrearage is paid through the plan and the trustee. Your mortgage payments must be paid to the mortgage company.
